Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for a team of engineers and their projects; assign responsibilities and mentor project team
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with project participants to aid and technical support
  • Determine project specifications, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates
  • Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems
  • Control project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes; recommending actions
  • Collaborate with the Projects & Operations team to create more efficient methods and maintain profitability
  • Control project costs by approving expenditures; administering contracts, including ensuring that Purchase process is smooth with best payment and delivery terms, capturing additional costs etc.
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Liaise with third party contractors to ensure all deliverables are fit for purpose
  • Prepare all documentation for client approvals including designs, drawings, procedure, risk assessments, and documents related to QA/QC
  • Monitoring compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC & HSE policies, performance standards and specifications
  • Collaborate with the Operations & Sales teams to create more efficient methods and maintain profitability
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Work with Sales Department in defining and estimating the engineering/technical scope of work and for producing technical design specifications for enquiries
  • Review enquiries liaising with clients on technical issues, ensuring the tender submissions largely comply with the RFQ
  • Prepare internal documentation such as risk evaluation etc., as required
  • In conjunction with the Engineering Manager, prepare a schedule of equipment required for each job
  • Prepare a full job package to allow execution of the project on securing an order
  • Oversee the manufacture of equipment required to complete each job
  • Execute work assignments to international standards and in compliance with Company quality systems ensuring work is completed to customer requirements and satisfaction
  • Produce project schedules to incorporate technical considerations, methodically reporting progress and technical issues

Qualification:

  • Mechanical Engineering degree
  • Minimum four years’ experience
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision
  • Excellent organisational skills
