  • Responsible for ensuring a high level of support to all clients via all modes of communication and for building professional relationships
  • Act as first point of contact for hire desk enquiries
  • Lead contact for queries on buoyancy equipment
  • Data input into InspHire Asset Management package (input of on/off hires, new equipment etc.)
  • Accurate and timely processing of paperwork to ensure effective tracking of all hire equipment
  • Raising, checking and tracking of sales orders and hire orders, from point of order until point of return
  • Preparation of quotations
  • Control hire fleet equipment to meet annual test requirements
  • Upkeep of all certification records
  • Ordering of new equipment for our own hire fleet
  • Production of hire quotations (both UK and overseas), input into CRM and follow-up
  • Control of Ashtead contract – maintain files, select stock, ensure fleet is available for hire, organise any necessary repairs to the fleet, send weekly stock sheet to clients. Update bag tracking, stock lists, create certs on cert package and file after signature
  • Organise inspections/repairs and return shipment for all customer repairs
  • Produce monthly scheduled maintenance reports for all UK hire fleets and Ashtead stocks
  • Prepare SWL and LOLER certificates as required
  • Liaise with workshop to promptly close out any issues relating to receipt/dispatch
  • Organise transport, raising all required documentation including return shipments
  • Upkeep of all customs/export control records
  • Printing of instruction leaflets
  • Organising workshop to conduct regular stock takes on equipment
  • Conducting regular sales visits to existing customers
  • Issuing of supplier application forms and entering onto Sage after approval.


Knowledge and Skills: 

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a similar environment is essential
  • Ability to liaise with personnel at all levels – clear communicator with well-developed verbal and written skills (excellent telephone manners)
  • Ability to work as an effective team member – must be a team-player who fully appreciates the importance of flexibility to get a job done
  • Detail conscious – is accurate with good attention to detail
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Good time-management skills – can multi-task and time conscious to ensure jobs are completed on time
  • Working knowledge of Asset Management software
  • Awareness of the importance of the customer
  • Internal sales knowledge
  • Working knowledge of customs and export control requirements an advantage
  • Sage experience.
