Position Overview
We are hiring a hydrographic survey engineer, for our client, a global leader in the oil & gas, energy and subsea industry.
Key Responsibilities
The Hydrographic Survey Engineer is responsible for planning, conducting, and managing hydrographic survey projects in marine and freshwater environments. This role involves collecting and analyzing data related to the seabed, water depth, tides, and currents to support a wide range of projects, including offshore construction, dredging, coastal development, and environmental monitoring. The engineer will ensure that survey data is accurate, reliable, and meets project specifications.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in any Engineering – preferably Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation & Communication with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in similar role / industry.
Related Work Experience
- Proficiency in hydrographic survey software (e.g., HYPACK, CARIS, QINSy).
- Strong knowledge of survey instruments and equipment, including GPS, sonar systems, and motion sensors.
- Experience with data processing and analysis techniques for bathymetric mapping.
