Leadership Update at Unique Group
Unique Group, global leaders in subsea technologies and engineering, announced a series of strategic leadership transitions designed to support the company’s next phase of global growth and commercial expansion.
Sahil Gandhi will transition from his role as Chief Executive Officer to the position of Non-Executive Director, effective 31 January. Sahil has been with Unique Group for over 14 years and was appointed CEO in 2023, during which time he played a key role in driving growth, diversification, and international expansion.
Martin Charles Appointed Interim Chief Executive Officer
Martin Charles, currently Chief Operating Officer, has been appointed Interim Chief Executive Officer. Martin joined Unique Group in 2022 and brings more than 40 years of international experience across engineering, offshore services, and numerous leadership positions. As Interim CEO, he will lead the Group while continuing to support day-to-day operations with a focus on continuity, execution, and delivery.

Strengthening Global Commercial and Growth Leadership
As part of its strengthened leadership structure, the Group also announced the appointment of Chris Forde to the newly expanded role of Executive Vice President, Commercial and Growth. Previously EVP, East, Chris will now lead Unique Group’s global commercial strategy, overseeing sales, business development, and customer engagement across all regions. His appointment underscores the Group’s commitment to strategic growth, client focus, and market expansion.
