The role assumes direct responsibility for managing and overseeing the service and maintenance of our Diving SAT Systems, ensuring that all systems are fully operational, safe, and compliant with industry regulations whilst driving operational excellence and further developing a customer-focused culture that values continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and organizing work task schedules based on dept. priorities.
- Manage the service and maintenance of Diving SAT Systems in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Diving SAT System Service department.
- Providing technical advice and expertise on maintenance of SAT systems and Air Dive Systems to customers and internal staff as needed.
- Develop and implement service schedules and procedures to ensure that all systems are serviced and maintained in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure that all service and maintenance records are maintained in accordance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Responsible for the planning, scheduling, and coordinating the workload, including the following activities: ·
- Planning – Ensuring resources and material will be available when needed.
- Scheduling – Assigning work schedules, establishing progress, and communicating any deviations.
- Coordinating – Distributing workload, establishing priorities and being responsible for day-to-day activities of the assigned work
- Management of service-related jobs on diving systems
- Manage a team of technicians and engineers for completing the service tasks
- Capable of trouble shooting technical issues on Dive systems
- Management of contracts and submission of bids
- Responsible to ensure quality of the work meet or exceeds all standards of the organization. Maintains a general awareness amongst staff of the quality standards and promotes the importance of quality.
- Regularly reviews performance data and identifies gaps relevant to the team.
- Maintain Skills competency matrix.
- Ensures the team is operating within all legal, compliance and applicable contractual obligations Continuously evaluates production performance and focuses on continuous improvement in areas of opportunity/non-compliance.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of Diving SAT Systems to ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
- Manage the training and development of service technicians to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to service and maintain Diving SAT Systems
- Develop, communicate, and review functional strategy and operational plans with team.
- Ensure departmental KPI’s targets are defined and delivered in alignment with company KPI’s.
- Monitor and review the performance of staff and manage necessary interventions for improvement.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure that service and maintenance requirements are fully integrated into the overall product development process.
- Manage the service budget, including forecasting and managing expenses.
- Assess departmental resource and succession planning requirements.
- Coaching and mentoring to promote talent development.
- Preparation of annual departmental budgets
- Manage budget, resource, and material allocation by ensuring operating costs of the department are minimized through a lean manufacturing environment.
- Estimating, negotiating, and agreeing budgets and timescales with managers
Qualifications
- Relevant Bachelors’ Degree (Engineering, Project Management, Business Management, or other related field) plus proven track record of developing high performance operations.
- Minimum 7 years proven track record, demonstrating a high-level competence in:
- Diving Systems Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Diving Systems—especially Air Dive Systems and Saturation (SAT) Systems—is mandatory. Hands-on Dive Operations experience will be a significant advantage.
- Technical & Operational Skills: Solid technical understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems, with experience in manning resource planning, forecasting, and ensuring smooth operations.
- Project & Client Management: Proven track record in managing clients and leading complex projects from planning through execution, with strong project management capabilities.
- Leadership, Budget & Safety Oversight: Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership, manage project budgets, and uphold the highest safety standards across all project activities.
