UG: Seaflex® MBUs for Pulling Wire Installation

Due to their ease and efficiency of use, Unique Group’s single-connection 1t or 500kg MBUs from the Seaflex® product line are most commonly selected by contractors for the installation of pulling wires. Easily presented to the pulling wire due to their lack of weight (1t unit only 16kg), the buoyancy module is then swiftly secured via a simple rigging arrangement (very often a soft sling with taped sleeve). It is then inflated to full working pressure prior to the wire being pulled out to the barge.
