Unique Group, global leaders in subsea technologies and engineering, has entered into a strategic partnership with The USV Group, bringing together Unique Group’s proven uncrewed surface vessel (USV) technology with The USV Group’s operational and regulatory expertise to support the wider adoption of USVs across commercial survey and marine applications.
About the Partnership
With more than 600 people across 18 locations worldwide, Unique Group designs, engineers and tests its USV platforms in-house, drawing on experience from real-world survey operations. The Group’s fleet has been deployed commercially across eight countries, supporting applications ranging from shallow-water and harbour surveys to coastal monitoring and infrastructure inspection.
The Technology
The partnership will focus on two solutions within Unique Group’s USV portfolio: the Uni-Mini, a compact electric USV designed for shallow-water and confined environments, and the Uni-Pact, a larger catamaran platform capable of carrying heavier payloads and supporting longer-duration operations. Both platforms can be configured with technologies including multibeam, LiDAR and GNSS for a range of hydrographic and nearshore survey applications.
The Uni-Mini was recently recognised with the UK Ports Innovation Award, highlighting the platform’s contribution to innovation in port and marine operations.
