Client Requirement

The client wanted Unique Group to complete calibration testing of the safe load indicator after replacement of a faulty load pin on a crane.

Unique Solution Delivered

The client asked us to apply 360 tonnes. We used 4 water bags of 55 tonne combined with 2 water filled proof load bags of 35 tonne for the first tier, followed by 3 water bags of 35-tonne water bags on the second tier. In addition to these, we also used a 400t telemetry load link to monitor the load going into the bags.

The crane operator and crane mechanic monitored the load on the way down to compare the descending load with the handheld readout in the crane cab until the client was satisfied with the performance of the safe load indicator. Unique Group’s Water Weights brand water bags were used for the load testing, the client was impressed with our professionalism and technical expertise.
