Summary of the Project
Unique Group successfully completed crane wire rope changing and spooling on 4 cranes for 2 different jack up barge vessel in Dammam and Jubail, Saudi Arabia.
Client Requirement
Our client, wanted to change the wire rope in their cranes along with spooling before the jack up vessels were moving out for projects. This was a part of their maintenance schedule as well as company policy and Unique Group supported the client with this requirement.
Challenges faced
The logistics for the project was a challenge due to the COVID-19 regulations, with proactive planning we were able to navigate it.
Unique Solution delivered
After understanding the technical specifications and requirements of the cranes, Unique Group performed crane wire rope changing in the main block, aux hook and luffing wire on the four cranes in the two vessels using the spooling machine. There were three wire ropes in each crane, so total of 12 wire rope changes were done and 4 Pendent wires in 1 vessel.
The project is an excellent example of a collaboration between Unique Group’s Singapore, Saudi Arabia and UAE office to meet the client’s requirements.
