Summary of the Project

Unique Group, in association with its partner Cranemaster, was awarded a subcontract in India for Passive Heave Compensation (PHC) during subsea installation on the ONGC KG-DWN-98/2 project in the Krishna-Godavari basin.

Client Requirement

The client wanted to hire Cranemaster’s Passive Heave Compensator along with a competent engineer for the Mud Mat installation for the project.

Unique Solution delivered

The Passive Heave Compensation was efficiently used to install the Mud Mat for the project in the Krishna-Godavari basin, which is used to prevent offshore structures from sinking into soft unconsolidated soil on the seabed. Together with Cranemaster’s own experienced service engineer, an experienced offshore engineer from Unique Group’s India office enabled fast and cost-effective PHC operation and maintenance.
